La Pierre Angulaire offers a wide range of services from full service design and implementation of public health interventions, to advisory services. It intends to offer high quality services to communities. The aim, within the framework of La Pierre Angulaire is to assist the communities to meet their specific needs to enable them to fight efficiently against health problems. The goal of La Pierre Angulaire is primarily about the reinforcement of HIV/AIDS prevention by developing prevention programs and financial supports. This NGO targets the rural communities especially in health facilities. It comprises:

Training
Training is the principal and technical “action tank” of La Pierre Angulaire. It targets the trainers and other peer-educators. This training is addressed to doctors, biologists, data processing specialists, economists, health administrators and to community leaders. In fact, in collaboration with a national and international network of skilled trainers in HIV/AIDS activities, La Pierre Angulaire will proceed a twinning program in accordance with the national guidelines and directives.

The offices of the NGO will be equipped with modern data-processing and communication tools to guarantee an effective and qualitative work.
Moreover, La Pierre Angulaire is committed to creating an information center, which will contain up to date information on scientific literature, booklets or manuals of education, leaflets, reviews and other documents related to the prevention, the treatment and community sensitization for optimizing the access to HIV/AIDS related issues. Information will be available in French and English.

Prevention, care and financial support improvement
It is mainly focused on the development of implementation strategies, follow-up and evaluation of HIV prevention programs. La Pierre Angulaire will explore the feasibility of expanding or coordinating their programs for primary prevention with partners including mother to child transmission, voluntary counseling and testing of HIV, social marketing of the condom use, care improvement, supervision and evaluation of interventions and the control of STI among vulnerable populations.

Access to ARVs for the rural communities
The provision of ARVs will utilize the skills and experience of public health approach for resource-limited settings. For this reason, the strategy will include the reinforcement of health care providers capacity of managing the drugs, the use of a very simplified clinical and biological monitoring, the psycho-social support for the persons living with HIV and for the personnel providing care.

Health facilities, infrastructures and community mobilization reinforcement
In addition to training health personnel, the reinforcement includes providing health facilities with the minimum of equipment to accomplish the routine work. It consists in biological reagents and materials supply, assistance for quality assurance, global management and audit skills to health system professionals. Moreover, La Pierre Angulaire will develop an advocacy to enhance and expand laboratory capacity for HIV/AIDS diagnosis and care, community support, voluntary participation in initiatives of prophylactic or preventive research issues against HIV/AIDS.
